We Love the Utah Jazz!

As many of you know we share Jazz season tickets with my family. We end up going to about 10 games a year which is perfect! Boston screams and yells with the rest of the fans! It is quite funny!

Way to Agreeable

Jeremy is always saying things like "I am going to go buy a big truck!" Or "I think we should go buy a house today!" I always reply with "ok, sounds great!" (knowing he won't.) Well last Saturday he said he was going to shave his head, and I of course said "ok, sounds great!" Next thing I knew he looked like this! (and it got even shorter!) Maybe I better stop being so agreeable!

President Hinckley

The prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints passed away tonight. He died about 6:30pm at his apartment in downtown Salt Lake City surrounded by his family.

He was 97 years old. He has been the prophet for 13 years, and is the oldest prophet ever to have served. He will be remembered for his love for temples, and his desire for everyone to receive the blessings that can be available there. Before his presidency there were less than 50 temples, as of January this year there were 124 temples in operation. He will be remembered for his visionary idea for the Conference Center which now stands tall in Salt Lake, and holds 21,000 people. He will be remembered for bringing the church into the media spotlight. Being interviewed by the most famous of reporters including Larry King, Mike Wallace, and many others.
He will be remembered for his visits with world leaders.He will be remembered for his humor. He always knew how to make everyone smile and enjoy life a little bit more.
A very humble man, but a very powerful man who delivered this advice when I was in my youth;

I will miss him. I love him. I know he led this church by the power of God. I know he is not dead, but lives. He is alive rejoicing to see his wife whom he loved so much.

I also like to think that my sister Natalia is enjoying his "homecoming party" in heaven this night.

Camille and Boston's Recommendation

I love children's books, so from time to time I might recommend one that I have enjoyed. I loved this book because it reminded me of my childhood and playing in boxes with my sister, and imagining them to be all sorts of different things. I enjoy books where imagination is encouraged and this is exactly what this book does. This is a very simple book, with very few words on a page. Perfect for your little ones to enjoy!

Logan, Mason, and my Mom come to visit

Boston and I always love when my Mom bring Logan and Mason down to Lindon for the day! We always have so much fun! Last time they came out we went sledding on the little hill in our back yard! We had a blast!

After the sledding fun we went out to lunch and Logan was upset that we didn't get any Pop. He started "coughing" and when we asked him what was wrong he replied "water makes me cough, I need Pop." Don't worry we didn't give into Mr. Clever.

I Challenge You

In the last Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints General Conference, one of the apostles President Henry B. Eyring talked about how he had written in a journal every night asking himself "Have I seen the hand of God reaching out to touch us or our children or our family today?" About two weeks ago I took President Eyring's challenge on to do this myself, and have been writing a little something each night. It has become a huge blessing in my life. I am realizing how much God really does love me, and my family. It's sad to say, but I never really took the time to notice it until now. Each day, something sticks out in my mind as a blessing from our Heavenly Father. It might be as simple as I was able to drive safely to and from Woods Cross, or how my friend Emily came and took me out for lunch on a day that I really needed to get out of the house.

I know that some of you reading this don't believe in the LDS faith. For you I would suggest to start a gratitude journal, and simply write down one thing each day you are grateful for.

I challenge each of you to start doing one of these types of journals. I promise you will soon realize that there is a God, and that he loves you. I promise that you will become increasingly happy as you follow President Eyring's, and now my challenge to each of you.

I am desperate to find a good workout I can do indoors and with a child around! I have been checking out the "Sweatin' to the Oldies" video's by Richard Simmons... frankly I need something different! If anyone has any good ideas let me know!

3rd Major Haircut!

So during all the fun holiday festivities, family members seemed to get a kick out of making fun of Boston's hair. They would say things like "He looks like he's wearing a topee'." Or "He looks like a Sesame Street character." "You need to give this kid a Moe hawk. Were is the gel?" Well we are sick of the jokes, so we cut a good 2 inches off his "mop" last night.

Luckily Boston doesn't seem to mind getting his hair cut. I guess when you start getting it cut at 2 weeks old, you get used to it. He loves looking at himself in the mirror while Jeremy cuts it. I think Boston's favorite part is the fact that he gets to wear no clothes during the whole process!

It Was a Very Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! It started out on Christmas Eve when all of Camille's family, and some of her cousins went out to dinner at Sizzler! The food was fantastic, but being with family was the best part. After dinner we did a $5.00 gift certificate exchange! Jeremy and I came away happy as we received Ben and Jerry's and Dairy Queen! After that Camille's family opened gifts from the siblings and cousins.

Boston loved his DVD from Logan and Mason, and the other many nice gifts he received. After that we drove home on some very scary snowy roads and went to sleep!

We enjoyed our Christmas morning, burning the cinnamon rolls, eating delicious Quiche, and enjoying opening presents from one another.

Boston really enjoyed the wrapping paper, tissue paper, and his new toys.After we enjoyed our own Christmas, we went to Jeremy's Family where Boston was able to meet up with his cousin Caydon who is passing him up in size! At Jeremy's parents we enjoyed pancakes with apple topping, and a heated white elephant exchange.

After Jeremy's it was off to Camille's family where we ate so much good food, and both Jeremy and Boston received Jazz Jerseys from her parents! They were both very excited!They also gave Boston a walker which he loves!
After all is said and done, we feel very blessed to have had such a nice Christmas. The most important thing was being able to celebrate with family and remember the birth, life, death, and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!

The Christmas Sleepover

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is my family's Christmas sleepover. This is where all the family comes over and we;

there are always lots of smiles, and giggles,

and of course we play games. Although it just isn't the same without my sister Natalia around who would always be the encourager of board games,

And then we get in our Pajama's and everyone sleeps (or tries to sleep) in the living room by the Christmas tree!

In the morning my parents fixed an awesome breakfast, and gave each family a really cool book called "I Believe in Santa Claus." That is another one of my favorite traditions, each year we get a beautiful Christmas story book.

After breakfast we all went sledding together. I don't know who had the most fun, the kids or the adults!

Boston Loved Santa's Beard

The ward party included a visit from Santa, and Boston thought rubbing his hands through his beard was awesome! He of course was stiff as a board like usual!

Finally!! We Received Some Snow!

The snow finally came on Saturday!! Camille was the most excited of course, she was dancing around the house, and couldn't wait to take Boston (the snow bear) out for his first sledding expereince. Camille took him down the little hill in our backyard once, then Jeremy tried to take him up the hill with his dress shoes on, and slipped and fell! Needless to say, the fun was over. Oh well, we enjoyed the snow for the rest of the day from the windows, and from the car!

Oh and both Jeremy and Boston are recovering well from there injurys!

Let It Snow!

I love snow. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for it to snow, so I can build a snowman, go sledding, and sip hot chocolate as I watch it fall outside my window. Down here in Lindon, we saw maybe one or two flakes, but nothing visable on the ground! I was so sad.

I called my mom and she said that in Woods Cross they had about 1-2 inches. She then told me that when Logan and Mason (my nephews) woke up, they just starred outside their bedroom window and watched it fall, then Mason ran out in the living room an looked out that window and said "It's snowing here too!" Then he ran to the kitchen window, and said "Here too, Grandma!" My mom being the awesome Grandma she is took them outside to catch some flakes on their tounges, and to have a snowball fight. In the middle of the fun Logan exclaimed "This makes me so happy." So for now I will have to enjoy the snow through hearing stories about my cute nephews discovering the snow, once again this year.

My Sister-in-law was so kind to take a few pictures for us so we can send one out with our Christmas cards. I thought I would share a few... but the one we are going to use, you will have to wait to see! Stay close to that mailbox! I love this time of year!

Now this picture taken in our University of Utah clothes has caused some people to believe I am a Ute fan. I want to clarify that I think the U is agreat school, but when it comes to sports, I still chear for BYU!

It Was a Very Happy Thanksgiving!

We decided to make the 1 hour trip to Woods Cross and stay with Camille's parents for 4 days for Thanksgiving. They were wonderful hosts and we loved spending the time with them.

On the 21st we had the traditional soup and pie! The soup was SO GOOD!

On Thanksgiving, we went to Pocatello Idaho to enjoy thanksgiving with Camille's Mom's family! There were probably like 50-60 relatives so we had it at a church. Camille and Jermey enjoyed visiting with family, eating delicious food, slammin' on our guitars playing Guitar Hero (XBox game), shooting hoops, and Camille spent a lot of time doing a craft with the other ladies. Boston enjoyed peeing through his outfit, sleeping, eating, and being passed around from one set of arms to another.
On the 23rd, we celebrated BLACK FRIDAY!!! It was so much fun! After maybe 3 hours of sleep Camille got up, told Jeremy it was time to go, and proceeded to get ready. Jeremy kept sleeping, so Camille left by herself at 4:45! After hitting her first spot she came back and picked up Jeremy and Boston, and they shopped until about 3:00pm. They got some great deals, but more importantly they loved being together enjoying the holiday season! That night, they went to the Jazz game, Wahoo they won!

On the 24th, we watched the Utah vs. BYU game at Camille's brother's house. It was once again a beautiful game, with the cougars pulling out yet another win at the last minute! *Clarification* (Jeremy is a Utah fan, while Camille likes the university of Utah, she will always root for her cougars. ) That night we had a party at Camille's parents house to welcome home Camille's friend Emily who just got back from serving an LDS mission to Madagascar. About 20 people came to crash the house, and we had loads of fun! I am so grateful to my parents for always being the party home. It was always so nice to have a place we could hangout.
