Goodbye Stitches

After 5 days it was time to say goodbye to Hadley's stitches! She did less screaming getting them out, then getting them in! I am SO HAPPY with how well it has healed. (I wish my camera took better close up pictures, but it doesn't. So you can't really see the stitches.)

Special Day with L and M!

With Matt getting married things will be a little bit different. I have spent a lot of time hanging out with my Mom and the boys over the last 5 years. We went on lots of "Field trips" together. I will miss these days. For our last hurrah we all went to Trafalga Lehi. The kids all had SO MUCH FUN.
The first thing Mason found was the climbing wall. He is like spiderman and climbed 3/4 the way up, then looked down and decided he had climbed high enough. He did it probably 5 times. Logan also joined in the fun. Finally all 3 of us decided to have a race. Guess who won? Fastest=Mason. Made it to the top=Me.

We did the water boats, and we got soaked!

The kids rode the airplanes who knows how many times!

I took each of the boys on the race cars.

We also enjoyed a round of golf.

Although I know I will still get to see Logan and Mason, I know it will be different. I treasure each moment I got to spend with them, as it helps me feel close to my sister. I've tried to love them as she would have. I've tried to play with them as she would have. Although I know I could never compare.

Now a new adventure begins...

Last T- Ball Game of The Season

The best $25.00 I ever spent was putting this kid into T-ball. He loved every single minute of it and so did I!

Boston fielding the ball

The team waiting to bat

On Base!

Boston's coach didn't show up to the last game, so Jeremy took over and gave the end of season speech and gave all the kids their trophys a.k.a. a baseball dog tag necklace.

Boston was so proud. What a fun season!

Independance Day!

For the 4th of July (Actually the 5th) we invited my parents to wake up before the sun and come down for the Hot Air Balloon Races. As we were walking to the field we heard the Star Wars theme song playing and we saw this huge Darth Vader balloon rising. It was awesome. By the time we got over there, this was all that was left of the balloon.... there was a "gust" of wind and we got there just in time to see all the balloons fall to the ground and packed up in 2 minutes flat. Oh well, maybe next year...

We then went to enjoy a pancake breakfast!!

Hadley was thrilled to have a ride on Grandma's sholders!

Boston insisted on bringing our little flags to wave during the parade. To cute.

As you can see, it was early in the morning. Jeremy and I weren't quite awake yet...

Surprisingly we found a fabulous spot for the parade! (This is one of those parade you are supposed to sleep over to get a good spot...)

I love watching my children learn to put there hand over their heart as they watch the flag go by. We love AMERICA!!!
Some of our parade favorites were the motor cops, massive amount of storm troopers, marching bands (Hadley's fav), huge balloon characters, and army tanks. We also loved the awesome fly over with 5 jets! AWESOME!
-
After the parade we took my parents to one of my favorite burger restaurants. JCW's. There is nothing better then their Bacon Blue Burger. SO YUMMY!!!
-
Then we went to see
We all loved it! Although Hadley was crazy wild, and then finally fell asleep. (Lesson Learned: Don't take Hadley to the movie during nap time. )
-
We spent the night doing a few sparklers and yard work.

It was a GREAT day!

"Push Me!"

April 2010...

Look who is pushing who now!!

July 2011

A New Toy

I swore I would never have a sandbox, but our neighbor offered, and I couldn't say no. I'm glad I didn't. It has boughten me HOURS of time to do yard work! The kids LOVE it!

Camping Day 1- Timpanogos Caves

Jeremy planned this camping trip at the beginning of the year, and I am so glad he did! We invited Jeremy's sister Megan, and Jeremy's niece Baylee, and nephew Taylor to come along for the ride. We had SO MUCH FUN!

Jeremy spent like 2 hours getting 7 people and all the stuff we needed to go camping for 3 days shoved into or on top of the van. I still can't believe he did it. I thought we would just take 2 cars...

So we drive a few minutes, and arrive at Timpanogos Cave! We decide we are hungry, so we found a picnic area and had our sack lunches.

Then we got set for our hike...

It is a pretty darn good hike. It is 3 1/2 miles round trip, and it ascends 1,065 feet.

Hadley loved it. She loves riding in the "Pack Pack" and she sings almost the whole time. So cute. Jeremy is AMAZING that he can carry her for so long!

The 4 of us rocked it! Boston also did AMAZING! He hiked the whole thing by himself except a small stretch on the way down I carried him. He is such an awesome hiker!

The views were so amazing, and we saw a lizard and lots of fun flowers.

There was a couple of rock tunnels you had to go through. That was cool.

We found amazing tree's growing out of rocks.

We took a few rests to grab a snack and stay hydrated. It was HOT!

Finally we made it!! The cave, is actually 3 caves found at different times that they have connected. It felt so good in there, nice and cool!!

In this picture there is a pool of water behind us. There was tons of water and stalagmites, stalactites, soda straws, cave popcorn, and all that good cave stuff!

Silly Megan....

The red laser is showing the "heart" of the cave. Hadley kept saying "This is cool." She was cracking ever buddy up on the tour. It was a super fun cave and I am so glad we went!

After the cave we headed to Timpanogos Campground where we stayed. I was SO HAPPY with the campground. Flush toilets, running water, and private spots with tons of trees! Perfect! We set up camp and got to use our new camping grill for the first time! We made chicken quesadillas that were SO GOOD!

After dinner we of course had to have SMORES! Oh my. Nothin' better. We enjoyed talking around the fire, and then all of us went to bed pretty tired from our big day!

Camping Day 2- Fabulous Day, Horrible Ending.

We started out the day with my favorite camping breakfast. Pancakes and Bacon. Yum.

Then we packed lunches and headed onto the alpine loop to go over to Tibble Fork Reservoir. Seriously such a beautiful drive.

We arrived, gathered our fishing stuff and walked to find the perfect spot.

I've never been fishing before. Jeremy went as a scout. Our kids have never been. So this was a big trip for us.

We luckily didn't catch any fish. But the guy next to us did, and he let the kids touch it. Hadley was the only one who actually did.

Taylor had so much fun. Casting it out, reeling it in.

Baylee was a natural.

Boston love love loved it. He has the kind of patience for fishing. I don't.

Megan and Jeremy also took their turns. I didn't. I didn't have a license.

After fishing we went to a picnic area for some lunch. Oh how I love these kids!

Back at camp, Jeremy was making Taylor and Baylee laugh like crazy. They sure love their uncle Jeremy. We played some games, and just relaxed.

Around dinner time, we decided to play a game of Frisbee Golf. We were having so much fun!

I capture this super cute picture of our Hadley Boo just minutes before she took a fall on the road. She cried, I picked her up and can her back to our camp...

where Jeremy bandaged her up like this... Seriously, so much blood. We knew she needed stitches.

So Jeremy and I took her down the canyon to Insta-care for some some stitches. The hardest part was keeping her away on the way down there. 4 stitches and a sucker later, we were on our way back up to camp.

Meanwhile Megan held down the fort back up at camp. She had the kids roast some hot dogs for dinner.

They even gathered some more firewood for us.

It was a sad ending to our perfect day, but at least nothing worse happened.
