Boston's Stomach Emergency

A couple of weeks ago while my Mom and I were shopping at Hobby Lobby, Boston kept saying he was hungry... finally he said "THIS is a STOMACH EMERGENCY. We have to go eat lunch RIGHT NOW!!"

We LOVE Snow!

Today, it snowed. The kids and I LOVE snow... but Hadley had a fever, so I kept them inside all morning. By afternoon the kids couldn't take it any longer. So I gave in.

They went down...

They went up...

We built a slanted dancing snowman!

Oh how we love the snow!

Queen of Nicknames

This little girl is Queen of Nicknames. It cracks me up. She calls my Mom "Gram" She calls Boston "Boss" Bost" Boston-O" "Bosty"... and if I were to call him those names I would get in BIG trouble. But Hadley, she can say whatever she wants. She calls me "Mom-O" or "Mommy-O" It just cracks me up to hear all the names she comes up with...a lot of them I can't remember because they are mostly gibberish!

In this cute picture she is wearing the dress my Mother-in-law made for her. Hadley LOVES this skirt. She wants to wear it everyday. It's so cute!

Hadley’s Obsession

On Thursday I decided to take some picture of Hadley's cute obsession with scissors. I don't think anything keeps her entertained longer then a piece of paper and scissors. She just love to cut, and cut somemore. Cute right? Well it was cute on Thursday, but on Saturday her obsession with scissors was no longer cute. Jeremy was being a super nice husband and cleaning the bathroom for me while I was gone... meanwhile Hadley was in the living room giving herself a haircut with her kid scissors. He walked in to find locks of hair EVERYWHERE! Needless to say she had an emergency haircut that night. We did what we could with it... unless you look close it looks pretty cute! She did an all around cut though... so there are some really interesting lengths all over her head! Oh dear...

Valentines Day

I think this Valentines was one of my favorites. It was just a great day! We started off with a yummy breakfast of chocolate dipped strawberries, and red velvet waffles! Jeremy went off to work and the kids and I went on a chocolate scavenger hunt that Jeremy had left us!! Then we went off to Story Time at the Library which was fun! Boston loved going to his Valentine party at preschool! I got the babysitter and the kids a heart shaped pizza for dinner, and Jeremy and I headed out on the town! It was my turn to plan this year! After seeing the line at Texas Roadhouse, we decided to eat at Applebee's! Which was delicious! Then we went to the High School play of My Fair Lady! It was such a fun night and a great day! Too bad I didn't get more pictures!

Valentines Day Prep!

The kiddos couldn't WAIT for Valentines Day! They had so much fun writing and sending Valentines.

Hadley was "writing" one for her Grandma's and she said "This is the mommy smily face, and this is the baby smily face." I couldn't believe it! She really did draw smily faces! Her first really recognizable drawing! Awesome!

The friday before Valentines day we got together with some of my nieces and nephews, Heather and her Mom, and my Mom to decorate some YUMMY sugar cookies!!! The kids all had a blast.

Sugar overload!!!

Yup... they were THAT yummy!

Then we did a fun heart/butterfly craft! The kids loved it. Most of all I think they just enjoyed being together!

Happy National Frozen Yogurt Day!!

Our afternoon was filled with excitment. We registered Boston for Kindergarten. AAAHHHHH!!! Seriously, I can't believe it. I also found out that I am still terrified of Principles.
Then me and the kids celebrated National Frozen Yogurt Day by getting FREE Frozen Yogurt at Yogurtland!! Yum! Yum!!

Then we ran over to the Mall to the Disney store to get Hadley some Sunglasses. This girl HATES the sun. So to avoid the screams we finally got her some new sunglasses. (She broke her other pair...) I couldn't resist taking this picture of her with her new shades with tags on and all! It must have been comfortable because she fell asleep ;)

What a great afternoon!

6 Years

It's been 6 years since I have seen my sister. I think in a lot of ways it gets harder each year. I feel like I am forgetting so many things about her. I feel my memory is fading. I hate it. This year seems especially hard because the days match up with the year she died. The worst phone call of my life on Thursday, and the unimaginable death of my beautiful sister on Sunday. I hate that she is gone. I miss her so much. I am grateful for the faith I do have, that I will see her again. I was reading in the new Teachings of Presidents of the Church, and Matthew Cowley said this quote at George Albert Smith's funeral. I think it fits my sister perfectly.

"We can't honor a life like this with words. They are not adequate. There is only one way to honor (her) virtue, his sweetness of character, (her) great qualities of love, and that is with our deeds.... Let us all be a little more forgiving, a little more tender in our associations with each other, a little more considerate of one another, a little more generous of each other's feelings."

Miss you Talia. I hope to honor your life, by improving mine. Love you.

Go Jazz!!

Even though my Jazz lost Wednesday night, and we didn’t get home until 12:30 this morning... it was still SUCH a fun game! We went with Matt and Heather, got a fun freebie of really cool mini-basketballs, sat on the 14 row, made it on to the jumbotron, and watched some of the best basketball I’ve seen in a while. It was so intense, I was a nervous wreck the whole time! What a night.

My two favs. Millsap, and Hayward.
