First Sledding Adventure of The Season

Today is one of those days that I LOVE being a stay-at-home Mom! Me and the kids went sledding!!
We started out in the front yard and the kids were having a blast. I was looking for more of a thrill, so...
I decided to hop in the sled with the kids and ride down the sidewalk. Holy cow, we had SO MUCH FUN!! The kids were both squealing with delight!! Finally on our last run, I took a video to prove just how far we went! 6 house's! Can't wait to do it again!!

A special thanks for all the neighbors for not shoveling and making this video possible!

Hadley's First Day of Nursery!

Yesterday was Hadley's first day of Nursery. She should have gone two weeks ago, but because of sickness her grand entrance was delayed. I was EXTREMELY worried about her going into Nursery. She is such a Mommy's girl, I thought she would scream the whole time. Jeremy took her in, and she was clinging to him so tight, but then they pulled out the snacks... and she was totally fine the whole time!!! YAHOO!!! We will see how next week goes...

Boston has been coming into Primary for "singing time" to practice being a sunbeam!! He is absolutly loving it!!

Oh man, I just love my kids.

I couldn't be happier!! I LOVE SNOW!!!

Goodbye Thanksgiving, Hello Christmas!!

On Thanksgiving night, we said goodbye to Thanksgiving, and said Hello to Christmas with new P.J.'s! This kids LOVE them!
Jeremy and I had a BLAST on Black Friday, beginning our day at 3:30am!! I just love Black Friday. I love the deals, I love how friendly and nice everyone is, I love thinking about what gifts I want to get for people that will make them happy, I just love love love it.
After Black Friday, we set up all of our Christmas decor!! Boston had a blast pretending the Christmas tree box was a rocket ship!! He flew to the moon several times. Now all I need is some snow.... please!?!?!

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Rogers side of the family decided not to have a Thanksgiving dinner this year, so we were able to go the Garner Family Thanksgiving Feast!

The Garner Gang

My amazing parents hosted the party, and did a WONDERFUL job!

While the chef's are cookin, the rest of us work up an appetite!

Basketball is always a part of a Garner Thanksgiving!

The food was DELICIOUS! It was so fun to see a lot of the family!!

We are so richly blessed. I am so grateful for the Thanksgiving to encourage us to remember all the many things we are thankful for. My goal is to do what President Monson has asked us to do and that is to;

Carl Bloch Exhibit

For Family Home Evening one night, we went to the Carl Bloch exhibit down at BYU. It was a smaller exhibit then I thought, but the power I felt looking at the paintings was unbelievable. The kids enjoyed it too! I highly recommend you go if you have a chance!! For tickets or more information click here!

Tourist In Town

I forget all of the awesome stuff we have so close to us!! Sometimes I like to be a tourist in my own town!
First we went to the visitor's center to see the new model Salt Lake temple they have on display. It is SO COOL! The details are amazing!
After that we went over to Deseret book to see Elder Richard G. Scott's paintings that were on display there. Wow, what talent. Each painting was so well done, and had so much meaning and depth to it. Very impressive. (click here for more info)

Then we went over to the church history museum. There we found this ship, which is a model of the Enoch Train. My mom just recently found out that one of our ancestor's came across on the Enoch Train to America! The display took on a whole new meaning as I realized that my relative had sacrificed so much to come across on the ship to be with the saints. How neat.

If you haven't been in awhile, go visit Temple Square! Lots to see, and teach to your kids. Be a tourist in your own town!

Best. Library. Ever.

Our library might not have the most books, or the best selection of movies, but they have FABULOUS programs!! The kids and I go to two different story times each week. They read stories, sing songs, and get to make a craft! They even get homework!! The kids love it!! Thanks for being so awesome library!!

Peek-a-boo!

Hadley loves playing peek-a-boo with her Aunt Megan under the kitchen table!! She sure loves her Aunt Megan, and waits anxiously everyday for her to come upstairs.

Hadley Girl is 18 Months Old!

Yesterday Hadley turned 18 months old. Wait... WHAT?? Seriously, I can't believe it!!! We love our Hadley girl and feel so lucky to be her parents!!

Things I want to remember about Hadley at 18 months
  • Nicknames: Hadley Boo, Hadley Girl, Hadders, and the people at church call her the "Entertainment Center."

  • Favorite Foods: Crackers, Cheese, Jelly, Mandarin Oranges, Cinnamon Life Cereal, Ice Cream, Candy

  • Hadley has a huge vocabulary, and can repeat almost anything you say back to you. Some of the words she uses most frequently are Mommy, Daddy, Boston, Megan, Grandma, Grandpa, Amen, thank you, please, shoes, eat, cracker, water, milk, juice, cheese, pancake, more, all done, diaper, stinky poo poo, potty, help me, yellow, down, up, temple, Jesus, go, doggie, oh no!, bike, ball, bird, binky, blankey, and snow!

  • She adore's her brother Boston.

  • She loves music, doing anything outside, reading books, wrestling with her brother and dad, doing starfall.com, eating, going to the park, playing with toys.

  • She has this love of animals that we don't understand. We are not animal lovers around here, but Hadley LOVES animals. She is more likely to be found carrying her doggie, monkey, or elephant in her stroller then a doll. She loves dog's, and any animal that catches her eye.

  • Has digestion issues.

  • Is a MaMa's girl. (don't like this one so much!)

  • She had LOTS of energy, and is very emotional. You know if she likes, or doesn't like something. She is very loud, and silly.
  • Has no attention spam for movies/T.V. She is always on the go.
  • Loves to brush her 6 teeth!
  • Has the biggest blue eyes, and the best smiles and laughs.

Halloween Party #1

We had such a fun Halloween this year, I'm sad it has taken me 11 days to finally blog it!! My Mom and I had so much fun making Boston and Hadley's costumes, and I think they turned out great!!! Jeremy and I dressed up as Super Mom and Super Dad. You know, you usually dress up to what you aspire to be right?? We had fun making our costumes as well.
Anyways, the fun started off early Saturday afternoon with the Garner Family Halloween Party!! Here is the whole group!

Here are the adorable kids!! My brother and his family were here from Idaho and it was so fun for them all to be together again!!

My mom really knows how to throw a party. She had 4 fun spider games for us to play!

And of course, we had amazing spiderific food!! So yummy!!! It was a SUPER Spider party and it was so good to all be together.

Later on Matt, Logan, Mason, My Mom, and all of us went Trick of Treating. We started out in great weather, but ended up in a downpour. We all got wet despite our umbrellas! The boys were so cute, they just kept trick-or-treating like it was not big deal.
We finally got back to my parents and warmed up by the fire, and headed off to the next party...

Halloween Party #2

We showed up to the Rogers Family Halloween Party in all our Super/Cowboy Glory.

We got there just in time to have everyone leave to go trick-or-treating. I refused to go out in the cold/rain again, but Boston's Aunt Cat saved the day, and took him for another round of Trick-or- Treating.
He had a blast, until he got scared by a chainsaw man... for the second time for the night. Poor kid was traumatized. Thanks a lot dudes.

After trick-or-treating we had a costume contest, all the kids won of course!

There was tons of fun costumes, a ton of good food, and a ton of fun seeing a lot of the fam!
