Poor Little Cambridge

On Saturday morning Jeremy convinced me that we should take Cambridge into Instacare.  So Cambridge and  I went and spent 2 hours there to find out he had Bronchitis.   Cambridge was so grumpy they kept bribing him to do things with suckers.  He left with 4!  It was a miserable 4 days of watching nothing but

Why he loves this movie I don't know... but he wanted nothing else.   We had to do breathing treatments every 4 hours, and he was just a grumpy miserable little boy.  I knew he must be sick when he fell asleep on the couch watching the MoTab at 10:00am!!  There is only one good thing about sick kids.. the cuddles.

Whenever we would say "I'm so sorry your sick!"  He would say "I NOT sick.  I a BOY!"

Queen of Holidays!

This little girl LOVES holidays!  I think we should have named her Valentine, because she is constantly giving people hearts, I love you notes, and sharing her love!
I can't get enough of her dressed as a Leperchon at the store... to funny!!  She is also already preparing for Easter with her art work, and pulling bunnies out of hats!

Valentines Weekend! (Picture Overload)

Friday morning was spent at the school helping with Hadley's Valentine's party which was super fun!
We came home to make heart shaped pizza's for lunch!

Got this fun picture text to me!  :)

From Feb. 1st to Feb. 14th I put a heart on the kids door and Jeremy's door to tell them one thing I loved about them.  I really liked this.  It really helped me focus on the positive and the things I love about each of them!!

That night I tried to make a special dinner for my little family.  I forgot to take a picture when the table looked all beautiful with their little Valentine gifts on it... in this picture they are holding their new books.  The kids thought it was so funny to eat by candlelight!!

That night my parents brought Logan and Mason down to spend a couple days with us!  It was fun to share my "fancy" dessert with them!!
Saturday (Valentines Day!) I woke up to some wonderful surprises from Jeremy. 10 balloons for our 10th anniversary with 10 of my favorite chocolate tied to them and a Kohls Gift Card!  Jeremy and I made a heart pancake breakfast for everyone...

then off to the mountains we went!
I have always wanted to hike to the G since moving to Pleasant Grove!

The views were AMAZING!  So beautiful!!

All the kids were AWESOME hikers!  I think they all enjoyed it!

We even found a heart rock!  How perfect for Valentines Day!

It's said that when you find a heart rock that someone in heaven is thinking of you... I think Natalia was sending her love!

After some lunch and a snack, we headed to the park for some baseball...

and duck watching!

Then we headed back to our house to roast hot dogs and smores!!

Nothing better!

SMORES!

Sunday morning we realized that we were so busy having fun that we forgot to open Grandma and Grandpa's Valentines!! The kids were so excited!  Then it was off to church!

Monday morning Jeremy did more rebar at our new house, while the rest of us hung out at home playing games,

and just enjoying being together!

After lunch we headed to the Grizzley hockey game!  We all enjoyed it!

Then we headed to my parents for some pizza, and to go swimming at their rec center!  We all had SO much fun.  The kids were in heaven getting to swim again!

Then we had to take Logan and Mason home :(  We LOVED having them spend a few days with us!!  Can't wait for them to do it again!

National George Washington Honor Medal

Today was such a special day. The Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge chose Youth of Promise to receive the National George Washington Honor Medal for the 9/11 Memorial we built in Kaysville, Utah!
It was such an honor for me to attend the award ceremony at the Little America today. I'm so grateful the memorial that hosts the names of hundreds of loved ones from Utah killed on 9/11, and the war following has been given the recognition these families deserve.
So grateful to have been a part of this project, and for the amazing people I've been blessed to work with.
The memorial is located at 920 South 50 West, Kaysville, Utah.

Some of the amazing people I worked with!  Margaret Wahlstrom, Margaret Brough, Karlene Kidman, Me,  Haeley, and Brett Lund.

Me in the Little America Ball Room!  We had a wonderful lunch and program, including a speech from the Lt. Governor.

Margaret Wahlstrom accepting the award!

Do you know this guy?  He is the guy from Freedom Rides.  He also received an award.

I hate being interviewed by the news... so intimidating.  You never know how they will clip your comments to make you look like a goof!  It was also an honor though too...

Me and Margaret with the award and medal

What an honor to be a part of something so wonderful!

Building Our Home

Watching our home be built has been the funnest experience!  I had no idea how much fun it would be.  We are over there almost everyday!  These are some of my favorite pictures from our building process so far!  It looks like we will be moving in the 2nd week of April!

Jeremy and his buddy Pat put in some re-bar into the garage floor

The wood arrived!

The kids LOVE going and watching the workers and never want to leave!!

Lots of late night visits in the dark!

Busy, Good Weekend

Thursday was February 5th which is always a tender day for my family.  It was 9 years ago we said goodbye to Natalia.
"Those we love don't go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear."
9 years is WAY to long to go without seeing someone you love. Miss you Talia. So grateful to know that because of our Savior's gift, I WILL see you again!
Friday we got together with my Mom, Heather and her Mom, and all the kids for our traditional Valentine Cookie Decorating!  It's always so much fun!!
That night Jeremy met us at my parents and we had a sleepover!  My Mom and I stayed up late making this super cute craft!  I absolutely love it!  My Mom and I saw it on pinterest and my Mom made it happen!!
The next day we were able to go to my cousin Trevor's baptism!! It was so fun to see all the family!  Jeremy went and helped Megan move into her new place in SLC.  Afterwards we went up to visit my sister's grave.  Miss her so so much.

Then all the adults went and did a temple session, and then came back for some baseball and a delicious dinner.  It was wonderful to be together!
