Service!

On August 1st we took a train ride

from American Fork to Woods Cross!
Where we joined my family for an awesome service project!  My Mom had arranged for us to go serve at the Bountiful Food Pantry.
It was so neat to watch the kids working hard to serve!
The lady their was amazing.  She talked to them about the importance of doing good in school so you can get a good job.
We all loved it.  I really want to find more service projects like this that I can do with my kids.  It just made me feel so good.  After we went and played at the park and had some treats!
Then we rode the train back home!

Cambridge charmed EVERYONE on the train.  From the business man to the bum.

Such a great day!  ( I wonder how many posts I end with that phrase...)

Circus Time

My adorable niece Michaela put on her 2nd Annual Circus!  She makes a fantastic Hula Hooping Clown!!  Boston and Hadley loved the face painting and pinata!

My favorite picture of the night! Cambridge stealing Grandpa's water!!

Hadley's 1st Soccer Game!

On July 27th Hadley had her 1st Soccer Game!  She looked so adorable running around in her shin gaurds on the tiny little field!  So cute!  Some how Jeremy got roped into coaching, and he does an amazing job!  Should be a fun season!

Summer Activities

We spent lots of time at our library!

Craft Time, Story Time, and lots of unique fun stuff like magic shows, and puppets shows!

The best part of summer... seeing Jeremy!

The kids have loved having more of their Daddy's attention with him being on break from school!

Hadley is just so stinkin' adorable, and always messy!

If those blue eyes don't just melt you, I don't know what will.  We are loving outside time!  Yay for summer!

Mommy Must Reads

I really liked these 3 articles.  Thought I would share.  Click on the title to read the whole article!

Why Being a Mom is Enough

Don't be weary, dear mother, in trying to keep up with a supermom agenda. There is no supermom, really - that whole supermom who has everything together is just a fallacy. There are real moms. Real, authentic moms who admit that they don't have it all together but keep on fighting. Scared and tired moms who keep fighting. Moms who are overwhelmed by keeping up with littles all day long. Moms like you and me who sometimes feel lost in a world of outward accomplishments.

A mother isn't based on external perfection. A mother is the person, the woman, just like you. The woman with little ones in her care that she loves, and sometimes wonders how she loves them because they're driving her batty, but still she does. She fights, gives, prays, works, and doesn't give up even when she wants to throw in the towel.

When You Think Your Love Story Is Boring "and this is a love life -- to live life each small, sometimes unbearably tedious moment -- together."

Kate Middleton and the Mom in the Mirror
"Come, my loves. Let me tell you a story. Mama's belly is different because I had a baby. I had you! This is where I stretched and stretched so you could fit inside! See how even my legs and my knees stretched! Everything moved around to make room for you! I got these dimply thighs and these little purple veins and these roomy hips when I got you! Aren't they beautiful?

It's a miracle and it's the greatest story of my life."
