Hidden Message

Boston and I went on a nice walk on Monday, and I happened to have my camera with me. In the middle of the road was this message. I think someone was telling me to stop wasting so much of my life watching American Idol.

Why do we celebrate Easter?

Easter has become one of my very favorite holidays, not because of the fun traditions that the holiday brings, but because of the reason we celebrate it. Easter is a time to reflect on not only the Saviors life, and death, but also his glorious resurrection. Jesus Christ triumphed over death, which allows us to do the same. Which means, that I can see my sister Natalia again. And not just see her again, but live with her again. Easter reminds me of that wonderful truth, and for that reason alone I love Easter. Now I just have to live worthy of that privilege.

"Now there is a death which is called a temporal death; and the death of Christ shall loose the bands of this temporal death, that all shall be raised from this temporal death.' (Alma 11:42; Mosiah 16:7-8; Alma 22:14)

A Very Happy Easter... Until Monday

Our very Happy Easter started out at the Foxboro Park where my brothers ward hosted an Easter breakfast, and Egg Hunt!

I sat Boston right in front of an Egg, and he just stared at it. After handing it to him, he enjoyed playing with it. You might be able to tell from this picture that it was quite cold.
After that we went back to my Mom and Dad's for an Easter Party! We dyed eggs, which is always one of my favorite traditions! Logan and I had fun dying eggs as a team! We also had an amazing Easter lunch where my Mom made a bunny out of bread.

Then Boston was able to enjoy the Egg hunt in my parents backyard. He shook an egg hard enough that M&M's spilled out! He was then able to have his first M&M which he LOVED!

All 5 grandsons found fabulous stuff in their Eggs. (Why is it so hard to all look at the camera at the same time?)
On Sunday we went to my parents ward. It was fun to see all my old neighbors and friends.
We had a traditional Easter Ham dinner, and my mom made the cutest bunny cake for dessert. I hope that I will someday be as creative as her!
After our Fun weekend we came home to find this... I thought living in an apartment would keep you from being Toilet Papered/Oreoed. Apparently not. Jeremy's Scouts wanted to wish him a very Happy Birthday!

Even that didn't ruin our fun Easter weekend. It wasn't until Monday morning at 1 am when Boston began throwing up, and Jeremy made frequent trips to the toilet that we weren't so sure it was such a happy weekend. Oh well, at least we had lots of toilet paper.

Happy 25th Birthday Jeremy!

Jeremy celebrated his 25th Birthday on March 21st! My Mom watched Boston all day so we could celebrate! We went Golfing, played Frisbee, ate lunch at the Blue Iguana, and did a little shopping in Park City. It was just a fun day spending time together, and at the end of the day we even took our pictures in one of those funny booth things!

I can't believe Jeremy is half of a century old!

Our Personal Easter Bunny

We had so much fun this morning helping Jeremy get all dressed up to be the Easter Bunny for the daycare centers at two different hospitals.
Jeremy did an absolutely amazing job! He made all the kids laugh, and smile big. One group sang an Easter Song and he danced around, it was hilarious! He even made this little guy happy after he had been screaming! Boston loved his Dad being the Easter Bunny. We were afraid he would be scared, but that was not the case! Even I was able to get a little Bunny Love!

Jeremy's Birthday Celebration... a little early!

On Sunday my family celebrated Jeremy's Birthday which is actually on the 21st. My mom asked him what dessert he wanted and of all the desserts in the world... he picked Popsicles.
The kids didn't seem to mind Jeremy's decision.
Even Boston and Peyton shared a Popsicle with Cassie's help, and were really mad when it was gone!

Jeremy received some very nice birthday gifts! Thanks to all of you who made it so special, especially my Mom and Dad for the great Birthday meal and dessert!

Our Very Special Visitor!

We were so excited to have our nephew Taylor come visit us for the weekend!!

On Saturday morning Jeremy and Taylor packed their lunches and went with the scouts on a 3 mile hike! Taylor had a lot of fun with the other boys, and spending time with Uncle Jeremy.

Taylor fell in love with the game of UNO attack! We played it probably 50 times!

Taylor is really cute with Boston! Boston thinks Taylor is quite funny!
I think Taylor's favorite thing was our backyard! There he was able to jump on the tramp, play in the playhouse with a slide, and ride the zipline. (To bad its not really our backyard... its our landlords.) Even in the freezing cold Jeremy and Taylor enjoyed shooting hoops together.
We loved having Taylor come and visit! He is such a good kid, and lots of fun!

St. Patrick's Day in Boston!

Did you know that the first St. Patrick's Day celebration held here in America was in Boston? We thought that was pretty cool!

We Are So Lucky!

As you can tell from our blog background, we love the Utah Jazz. Well yesterday my friend Kreston called and asked if we wanted to go to the Jazz Game and sit on the 6th row! That was a no-brainer!
It was so much fun sitting so close and being able to hear the players and the referees talk back and forth. Although, I would never pay $130.00 for the seat I sat in. I enjoy the games just as much sitting in the upper bowl in my $5.00 seat. Did you know that every time Matt Harping gets a dunk, Deron Williams gives him 20 bucks! I thought that was pretty funny!

Our Jazz Slaughtered the Timberwolves last night, we hope they keep going strong for the rest of the season! Thanks for a great game Kreston! GO JAZZ!

A Fabulous Weekend!

Thanks to the Henriksen's (our landlords) we had a fabulous weekend getaway.

They invited my parents and us to come up to their family cabin in the Timberlakes area. It was absolutely beautiful!

Bruce had some serious snow removal to do... good thing he had quite the machine.
We couldn't believe how high the snow was! We enjoyed a snow drive, snow walk, and sledding down the road!

Boston loved the cabin. Especially all the new stuff to stare at. Although, he decided that he was going to get his second tooth while we were up there, so we didn't get to much sleep!
We ate like Kings and Queens, and played two really fun games. Ticket To Ride, and Pounce (played with Rook cards.)
We also watched a really good movie called The Ultimate Gift. It was so nice to just getaway for the weekend. We are so lucky to live underneath such great people. We are also lucky that we consider my parents some of our very best friends.
