Great Reads

My Mom shared this with me, and I thought I would share it with you. In General Conference a new Young Women's Presidency was called.  This is the blog entry about it from the General Young Women President's Daughter.  I loved it.

Hudson's Blessing

Today we had the opportunity to go to Jeremy's nephew Hudson's baby blessing!  Isn't he just so handsome!  It was such a good meeting, and we are so grateful we were able to go!

Afterwards we headed to their house for brunch!  Yum!  It was good to see some of Jeremy's family again!

Hadley and Josh being silly!

Jeremy and his Dad

Cambridge took a nice nap during the party, but we woke him up long enough to get a little snuggle in with Grandma Rogers!

It was a wonderful day!

Yet Another Emergency Hair Cut...

About a year ago while Jeremy was cleaning the bathroom, Hadley cut her own hair.... yesterday while I was vacumming Hadley decided to cut her own hair yet again.  Moral of the story... bad things happen when you clean your house!

I wasn't smart enough to take a picture of the chunk she took out in the front... but I was smart enough to take a "Before" picture.  Her hair was so long!!

So luckily 4 houses away is a lady that cuts hair.  I called her and she kindly let us come right over.  I must say I really love her haircut!!  She looks so stinkin' adorable!

Another Week Has Flown By...

10 new posts, and I am finally up to date!  Thanks to my loyal readers who keep coming back to check for something new...  if you want to see all the new posts, you will have to push the Older Posts button at the bottom of the page.

Last Friday night I went to the grocery store, and came home to find Jeremy and the kids roasting smores!  Jeremy is such a good daddy!!  Of course I went and joined in their fun!

Saturday morning we had the opportunity to attend General Conference.  I LOVE attending in person.  Even if we are at the very tip top, in the very corner!  I really loved hearing President Packer speak.  There was such an amazing spirit as he shared his poem, and bore his sure witness of the Savior.  I couldn't help but think that this might be the last time we get to hear from him.

We spent the rest of Conference Weekend at my parents house!  This is Boston and Cambridge ready for a walk after watching so much TV!  (My Mom's flowers are SO BEAUTIFUL!)

Monday night brought Family Home Evening, our favorite night of the week!

We all love when Jeremy is in charge!  He is so good at involving the kids and really teaching them in a way that they remember what he teaches.

We also gave Cambridge his 1st Cereal Feeding!  He wasn't so sure about it... in fact he hates rice cereal so far.  I did find that he loves sweet potatoes though!

On Wednesday night, I was cooking dinner and went to go tell the kids it was time to eat.  I found them building "Ramps" for their scooters in the garage with Jeremy's nice molding.  YIKES!  I am going to have to keep a closer eye on these two!  They are getting a little to creative lately!

On Thursday Boston was begging me to tie his shoes.  Luckily I had just watched this video, and had read the article.  I took the time to teach him.  He caught on real quick and was so very proud!  He took a shoe to tie for show and tell.  :)

I think I try to keep Boston to small.  I just don't want him to grow up so fast.  At last, he is riding a two wheeler, tying his own shoes, and reading chapter books.  I guess I better just embrace it!

6 Months

Sorry, I document these monthly milestones for me.
It is so hard to wrap my mind around the fact the Cambridge has been with us for 1/2 a year!  CRAZY!  He weighes 15.74 Pounds, and is 24 1/2 inches tall.  He is a wiggle worm.  He wiggles all over the floor.  He has the fastest kicking feet, that are constantly moving.  He also has the tightest grip EVER.  His favorite toy is his burp rag.  When I take it away, sometimes he will scream at me.  So funny!  He also really loves stuffed animals.  He also really loves to read a book that is full of pictures of babies.  He just smiles and smiles!   He just started saying "Oh!"  When he really likes something he says "Oh Oh Oh Oh!"  I still can't get the kid to sleep through the night which is causing me lots of stress.  So leave your tips in the comments, although I swear I have tried everything.

Spring Break!

I think I have an addiction.  An addiction to having to much fun.  After spending Thursday at Hollywood Connections, Friday at Wheeler Farm, Saturday and Sunday celebrating Easter, I was still ready for more fun... after all it was Boston's Spring Break!  So Monday morning came and we headed out to Hollywood Connections again to enjoy it with Heather and the kids!

My kids could not have been happier going there again!

My favorite thing was to watch Hadley drive these bummer cars all by herself!  She was really good at it, but she just looked to little to be driving!!!

We played a round of mini-golf

its a really fun course!

Then to our surprise, during spring break they were handing out free hot dogs  potato salad, and soda!  The kids were thrilled!

Then we ventured over to the Roller-Rink!  This was Boston and Hadley's very 1st time trying to roller-skate   They did pretty awesome, thanks to those helper things!  It has been forever since I put on a pair of skates!  It was a BLAST!

Lissy took Cambridge on his 1st Carousel Ride!  We seriously spent all day there, then me and the kids went and had a sleepover over at my parents house, along with Logan and Mason!  Boston was in HEAVEN getting to sleepover with them!  We had a super fun Family Home Evening, playing Apostle games to get ready for Conference!

The next day we drove out to Ogden to go to the Tree House Museum!  The kids had so much fun!!

I love places like this that get their imaginations going!

This right here is Hadley's Heaven .  Scissors, Glue, Paper, and Markers!

LOVE this picture of my Mom and Cambridge!  Cambridge was SUCH a good boy during all of our adventures!

I am in love with this picture.  I love the lighting, I love Logan's deep in thought look, it is just the perfect Logan picture.  I can't wait to show it to him when he goes to work for NASA.

We took a break in the middle of our fun to have lunch at Burger King!  It was Boston and Hadley's 1st time!  They loved the crowns!!  Then it was back to Grandma and Grandpa's for the night!

Did the fun stop there?  NO!  On Wednesday we went to the Zoo!  It was the PERFECT weather for the Zoo!  Perfect.

All the kids waiting to ride the carousel

I had to share this picture.  It's a rarity to get Mason to stop having fun long enough for a picture.  Let alone smile for it too!  It's a gem.  I think I will keep it.

Look Cambridge's blanket matches the giraffe!

You can't leave the zoo without a picture by the Gorilla!

Did the fun stop there?  NO!  After the zoo we went to my parents for a quick break, then headed to Classic Skating for Michaela's 10th Birthday Party!

I had never been to this Classic Skating (the one off 90th South)  It was SO MUCH FUN!  I was a little to busy trying to keep track of my kids that I didn't get any real good pictures.  There was of course a roller-rink, which they let the kids ride their own scooters on!  Awesome.  Then there was a fun road skating track.  Then there were tons of bouncy slides and stuff (which me and heather had WAY to much fun on), an awesome "Blast Zone" where you shoot balls at each other, Lazer Tag, and a fun arcade center!  We had a blast!  When Classic Skating closed and pushed us out the door, we headed for home.

We spent the next two days doing laundry and trying to recover from SO MUCH FUN!  I'm still not sure we are recovered yet!   It was an awesome stay-cation!

Easter Weekend!

What a WONDERFUL Easter weekend we had.  It started off Saturday morning with Easter Baskets!

The kids were all thrilled with their little surprises!  Then we headed on out to my parents house for their annual Easter Party!

We had an amazingly delicious lunch that included Friend Funeral Potatoes!  They were so yummy!  (I'm sure they will be all over pintrest before we know it!)  Then we told the kids that we had to have a picture before they could go on their egg hunt... this was our attempt to get all 12 kids...

Oh well, at least we tried!

Korbin and Cambridge chillin' together on the floor

Let the egg hunt begin!!!

Each kid looks for 10 eggs of a certain color.  Then among the treats and prizes finds little paper clues to where their big prize is!

Audriana is sporting the big prize!  At one point all the kids were wandering around the house with their head lamps on!  The kids also made the most adorable bunny mobiles!

We also celebrated Jeremy's 30th Birthday!

My Mom and I went with the kids over to the school yard and played kickball, red rover, and 4 square!  We had SO MUCH FUN!  Then everyone else had to go....

Me and the kids went back over to the school and let Boston practice with his new tennis racket (he is surprisingly good)  and let Hadley practice with her new PINK bat!

Then it was time for Jeremy and Boston to go to the Jazz game!  They had so much fun and even caught a ball!!
Hadley, Cambridge and I did a downtown tour!  I LOVE DOWNTOWN!  I seriously feel at home when I am there.

This was my favorite picture of our Salt Lake Tour!
We arrived back home pretty late... I walked into the bathroom to find Boston brushing his teeth with his head lamp on!!  I would say the head lamps were a HUGE HIT!

Sunday Morning came and the kids got dressed up fancy for Easter Sunday!

We had a wonderful time at church.  I wasn't sure if I would like fast Sunday on Easter, but I LOVED it!  I loved hearing lots of testimonies born about our Savior Jesus Christ.  Ever since my sister died, Easter has truly become one of my favorite holidays!  I am so grateful that Jesus is Risen!!

Sunday evening we dyed some Easter Eggs!

This is always so fun for the kiddos.. and the adults!  And yes, we do dye our eggs in Christmas mugs!
What a Happy Easter!
