B Wedding

On October 15th, Jeremy's brother Brian finally decided to tie the not with Brett!!! She has been a part of the family since I have... but now it is offical! They had a small beautiful backyard wedding, a yummy luncheon, and a reception that evening. It was a great day. We are just so happy for them!

(Once again... to many pictures to post, so I threw them into a slide show for those that want to see. )

Jumpin' In The Leaves!

I have the most magical tree in my front yard. It loses most of it's leaves in one night. One day the leaves are there, the next day they aren't!

So the kids and I raked up the leaves

into a big pile!

and the rest of the night we played and played in the leaves until it was to dark and cold to play any longer!

Seriously so fun!

Hurray for Fall!

Little Sydni

Back in the day when we had primary activities, I was going around the ward passing out flyers. I came to a house of a little girl that used to come to primary but hadn't been in a long while. I had this feeling that I should knock, and not just tape it to the door. For once in my life, I listened to that still small voice and knocked. Ron Ashby answered the door. I had never met him, but he was nice. He was happy about the flyer, and he asked me when church started. He told me he wanted to have his little grandaughter Sydni start coming to church again.
-
Soon after little Sydni started coming week after week. She just LOVED primary. Soon she got her brother Andre' to start coming too! Soon her Grandpa and Grandma would come for the Sunday School hour. She was quite the missionary! Well she turned 8 years old back in July, and since neither of her parents are members, she was considered a convert baptism. I got the lucky opportunity to go with the sister missionaries and teach Sydni the lessons.

To make a long story short, I have fallen in love with little Sydni's family. They are such great people. I loved being invovled with missionary work. It is amazing to see the transition in a home when the spirit begins to abide there.

On October 8th Sydni was Baptized by her Grandpa Ron. It was such an amazing day.

Sydni with her Grandparents and little Brother Andre!

The awesome missionaries I got to work with!

Me and Sydni! This girl is amazing. She loves the gospel, and wants to choose the right! Oh how I love her!

Teacher Appreciation Idea

Our Primary Presidency just made these for all of our primary teachers, scout leaders, activity day leaders, and music people. I think everybody liked them!!

It is a graham cracker with melted almond bark on it, topped with mini-marshmellows and drizzled with more chocolate almond bark. The tag said "We wish we could do S'MORE to thank you for all the time and effort you put into your calling." On the back it said to place on a cookie sheet with the oven on Broil for about 2 minutes! Watch carefully!!! Oh man, they are YUMMY!

You could use this idea for SO MANY things! If nothing else, use it as a family home evening treat!

Last BBQ

Our good friend the Henriksen's invited us over for the last BBQ of the season!! We had yummy yummy food!!!

My kids of course spent the majority of the time on the Zipline...

We roasted smores, and played halloween charades! It was so much fun!!

Thanks for the great night Debany and Bruce!!

Hee Haw Farms

Boston had his 1st Field Trip to Hee Haw Farms!

I am loving his preschool so far! They let the little siblings come along for the fun too! Hadley loved the petting zoo... Boston, not so much.

They had fun playing on the mountian of hay

and sliding on all the differen't slides they had!

They learned fun facts about corn, and then went through a small corn maze!

We went for a wagon ride,

and got to pick a small pumpkin to take home! We all had a lot of fun!

Applesauce

My Mom had the most DELCIOUS apples on her tree this year. SO YUMMY! The ones that weren't the best for eating, we turned into Applesauce! It's a lot of work, but I love homemade applesauce! Boston was an awesome helper!!

Natalia's Birthday

My sister Natalia’s 29th birthday is less than a week away. I was trying to think this morning of what I could do to make her birthday special. I was thinking that nothing would make her happier then for everyone to do a special act of service in her honor. So my goal is to get 290 special acts of service by her birthday. I am hoping everyone that knew her, or didn’t know her, will do at least one special act of kindness and then post a comment with what you did or email it to me at camillenrogers@gmail.com.

On her birthday (October 16th) I want to take a list of all 290 different acts of service and display it by her grave. If you want your service to be kept a secret, just but “1 act of service complete!” Some service that I know would make her extra happy would be to serve in the temple, to play a game with a sad child, to bake a yummy treat for someone, or write someone a kind note. The ideas are endless. Thanks for helping me make this a great birthday for my sister, whom we all miss so much.

It got dark on us quick, but we still had ourselves a picnic dinner!!
