The Temple, Tulips, and Tractors!

Boston, my Mom and I had the best day yesterday visiting Temple Square.
The temple look extra beautiful against the bright blue sky, and the flowers were absolutely breathtaking.

The tulips were so big, bright, and beautiful! We even got to go out to lunch with my Dad at the Nauvoo Cafe', which was delicious!

I think Boston's favorite part was watching all the tractors, trucks, and cranes work on the downtown rising project! I honestly think he could have stayed there all day.

Who Needs Quarters?

It will be a sad day when Boston realizes that you are supposed to put money in these things... until then, he can enjoy all the "free rides" he wants!

Jeremy's Weekend Project!

Jeremy has absolutly amazed me since moving into our home. He has worked so hard to make it an even better place to live. This weekend he built his first closet organizer. It is amazing how much useless space was in the closet , that is now so useful!

Note Quite Such An Angel

Boston is an easy kid. He hardly ever gets into anything he shouldn't. But he has done a few things recently that let me know that he is a normal toddler... quickly approaching the terrible two's!
-
For instance;

• He discovered that Grandma and Grandpa's toilet makes a great car wash for his Hot Wheels!

• And today he discovered, that his very own leg makes a nice canvas for a work of art.

The Fun of Buying An Older Home

It has been so fun this spring to see the different types of flowers grow! We had no idea what the previous owners had planted, so everyday it is a surprise to walk out and find more flowers, and more colors! People paid good money for tulips and hyacinths when I worked at the Flower Patch! I feel so spoiled having such beautiful flowers right in my own yard!

This picture is for the Garner side of the family. I think he has pretty good form for a not even 2 year old! We will keep practicing...

P.S. The best comment I've recieved this week about my pregnant belly happened yesterday as I checked out at the store. The checker looked at me and said "Your Huge!" I hope y'all get a kick out of it like I did.

Baby Shower!

My wonderful friends Melanie and Amy decided since I didn't have a friend shower with Boston, that I should have one for the little girl on the way. It was so fun to spend a couple hours laughing and visiting with friends!

They way out did themselves. They did a lady bug theme, and everything was decorated so cute!

We ate amazing chocolate chip waffles and eggs, played ladybug bingo, and as pictured above, all my friends had to strap pillows to their belly's for a round of pregnancy twister! I lost of course.

Thank you for the super fun, super cute shower Melanie and Amy! You guys are simply the best!

Making The Best of It!

I've heard the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." I think the saying for today should be when April gives you snow, make a snowman.
Boston and I decided that it was time to stop complaining about the snow, and start playing in the snow. We had lots of fun this morning! (Please note that Boston does have gloves, he just refuses to wear them.)

4 Weeks Left!

Only 4 weeks left until our baby girl arrives! I am so excited, and so NOT prepared! I thought I would share a few of my favorite comments I've received during the last month or so.

• How many days do you have left? (At this point, I still had 7 weeks!)

• You must be about ready to pop!


• (Very Sympathetically) Oh honey, how much longer until your due date?

You just gotta love what people will say to a pregnant women! Wish me luck these next four weeks! Who knows what people are going to say...

What Month Is It Again?

It is April 15th, and this is what I am seeing in my backyard. How come snow is so magical in November, December, and even January... but absolutely not magical in April?

What a Fantastic Easter Weekend!

It all started Saturday morning when Boston received his Easter Basket!

We had fun the rest of the morning playing with his new toys! Boston especially loved getting golf lessons from his daddy.

Then we went out to my parents for a super fun Easter party. We ate a very yummy lunch, and then dyed Easter Eggs. Boston thought that was pretty cool.

Then we had an egg hunt in the backyard! Boston enjoyed the egg hunt a lot more once he realized there was candy and prizes inside the eggs!

I love this picture of Boston sporting his new sunglasses he got from his Easter Basket from Grandma and Grandpa. In order to find their baskets all the kids were sent on a picture treasure hunt. It was so cool. So this is how it worked; Boston got his first picture of something in the house, and then went to that certain place and found another picture leading him to another destination... until he found his basket! The kids thought it was so fun! (Great idea for you parents next year!)

Then all the cousins had a riot playing with bubbles until it was time to head home.

When we got home Boston decided he hadn't had enough fun, and went and played in the rain!

Today Boston got to wear his new Sunday outfit to church, so of course it was a photo opportunity!

I love holidays! They just keep getting funner and funner the older Boston gets.

The First Presidency's Easter Message

At this Easter season of hope and renewal we testify of the glorious reality of the atonement and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The empty tomb brought comforting assurance and provided the answer to the question of Job, “If a man die, shall he live again?” (Job 14:14). Because of the Savior’s resurrection we will overcome death and become the beneficiaries of His mercy and grace. In a world of trouble and uncertainty, His peace fills our hearts and eases our minds. Jesus is in very deed “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).

We give our sure witness that Jesus is the Christ. Though He was crucified, He rose triumphant from the tomb to our everlasting blessing and benefit. To each member of the human family He stands as our Advocate, our Savior, and our Friend.

Boston and I had the best morning! We went and helped the Easter Bunny (Jeremy) visit a couple of the hospital daycare's. Who knew this would become part of his job working in Human Resources? Boston's Bracket Wins!

Every year my family has a contest with the NCAA championship brackets. All the adults and kids enter a bracket, and surprisingly Boston won! Why is that so surprising... because I am the one that filled it out! It just proves that you don't need to know anything about the teams in order to win. All you have to do is pick the teams that have the shortest and best sounding names, and you might find that your the winner!

Nothing Better Then Conference Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend we had watching General Conference. It was so fun to be with family, eat loads and loads of good food and treats, and most importantly to be spiritually re-energized by hearing from our Prophet and Apostles.

Last Game Of The Season

This past Friday night we went to our last Jazz Game of the Season. Hopefully we will get to go to a playoff game or two!

Only 3 more days until General Conference begins! I am so excited to get the opportunity once again to hear from the prophet of God, and from all the other Apostles and leaders of the church.

Another Busy Weekend!

We had yet another busy weekend, and I am finally getting a chance to blog it!

Jeremy survived his first scout camp as a leader! He had a great time experiencing the sand dunes! He really enjoys being a scout leader.

After the scout trip it was off to my nephews 2nd birthday party!! I forgot my camera, but above are some pictures that my sister-in-law took of Boston! It was so good to see all the fam and celebrate Peyton's birthday together.

Then it was off to the Jazz Game where we watched them beat the Suns in over time! Boston is so cute at the games! I love hearing him cheer, yell "defense" or "nice shot" and "go Memo" and I especially love to watch him dance!
