Washington D.C. Day 6

The day started out with Breakfast at Lincoln's Waffle Shop.  Someone had recommened it to us.  Worst Breakfast Ever.  Seriously.  As one who lives for breakfast foods, I was more then disapointed!

Since our tour of the Theater where Lincoln was killed was cancelled, we visited the Lincoln Eduction Center instead.  It was really interesting.

Then we headed to Arlington Natoinal Cemetery

Watching a special ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Humbling.  Very humbling.

Then we had  time for one more thing.  We decided to head to the Pentagon.

We were able to see where the plane crashed on 9-11, and the memorial to all the victims killed there.

It was a very tender and touching moment for me to find Brady Howell's bench having recently finished the 9/11 memorial in Utah, and having met Brady Howell's beautiful wife.  So glad I was able to go there.

Then it was time to grab out bags and head to the airport!  It was a fantastic trip!  No at all what we planned, but we found things to do and we sure enjoyed our time together!!

Even though you didn't get to do exactly what you thought, it looks like you had so much fun together! Love all the pictures!
