Life is so Fragile

Our hearts have been hurting since Friday when a dear friend and ward family member suddenly passed away. He was one of the most talented, kind, humble, and witty people I've ever met. I will so miss his beautiful organ music every Sunday, playing ward softball with him in the summer, and seeing his always smiling and thoughtful face around the neighborhood. This family is one that is always giving, and now it is our turn to repay them. They could really use all the help we can give.

Art Contest

Last night was Boston's school's Art Show!  He entered 2 pieces of photography!  It is always really fun to teach Boston more about the camera, and cropping and editing pictures. We had a great time doing this together!

He won 1st and 2nd place!

It was a really fun show with lots of great art!  The kids loved the balloon artist they had there, and Cambridge really loved the "paintbrushes" they had for refreshments!

Boston named it "Weedthoven" because its a weed and it looked like Beethoven's hair!

He named this one "Bird Paradise." He took this picture while we were visiting Gilgal Gardens in Salt Lake!

I love that our school makes the arts an important part of their education as it should be!

I was able to go with Hadley and our neighbor Ben to their Fire Station Field Trip!

Easter Sunday

I love Easter Sunday!  I love celebrating the ressurection of our Savior Jesus Christ.  It gives me so much hope that I WILL see Natalia again!  I love love love this video about our Savior.  If you haven't watched the Because of Him video please do!  It's amazing.  I love this quote from the movie "There is no such thing as the end, Because of Him."

Easter was like a vacation for me!  Jeremy had no church meetings.  It was AWESOME!  We had a wonderful time at church and a great afternoon!  Here we are all dressed up!

That night we had Jeremy's sister over to celebrate her 25th birthday!!  It was so fun to have her over!  What a great day!

We had a fantastic day spending time with my family at an AMAZING Minion themed Easter Party!! My Mom is an amazing party planner, and we all had such a great time! Thanks Mom and Dad for always making the holidays so special and fun!

Easter Celebration

On Friday night before Easter we dyed eggs!  Cambridge loved the stickers that came in the kit!

Saturday morning we ate Easter Baskets for breakfast!  We never get Costco Muffins so this was a huge treat!

Then the kids went hunting for their baskets!!

Nursery!

And there was much rejoicing in the Rogers Family Home on April 13th because Cambridge finally went to Nursery!!  

He loved it, and so did Jeremy!

5th Annual Rogers Family BBQ

5 years ago we started having a BBQ around Jeremy's birthday for his whole family.  Well its now an official tradition.  We had such a great time having everyone over and because of my super sweet new lights everyone stayed until way after dark!  It was AWESOME!

We also were able to use our new fire pit!

All the kiddos loved roasting Marshmallows and we even got my father in law to eat his very 1st SMORE!

Cambridge LOVED the fire.  LOVED LOVED it!

Preparing for the BBQ

Also during Spring Break we worked really hard to prepare our house and yard for the annual Rogers BBQ.  I finally got my lights hung up that we received for Christmas from my parents!  WE LOVE LOVE LOVE how they look!  It gives the deck such a magical party feel!  

The kids prepared with sidewalk chalk signs.  This is Boston's grill and it says provided hot dogs and Hambger!  So cute!

This is Hadley's creation!  She wrote BBQ Family.  The kids were more then excited!

Spring Break!

We didn't go on any fancy trip, or any trip for that matter, but we still had a wonderful spring break!  I especially enjoyed the NO HOMEWORK part of it!  My usual partner in Crime (my Mom) was out of town the whole week!

We planned a Rogers Family Playdate!  We met at the gateway mall for some lunch and then went to get FREE Ben and Jerry's ice cream... but they no longer exist in the state of Utah.  :(  Then we headed to Liberty Park!

Fun Fun Fun day!  We were all so tired and sun burned by the end!!

Another day I met up with my cousin Tiffaney and her kids!  We hit Kangaroo Zoo which is always a HUGE hit with the kiddos!

Then we had pizza at this awesome new park in Woods Cross!!  Super fun!!  We had such a good time!

On the way home we stopped off at Trafalga for some more fun!

On Friday we went to Castle Park (Discovery Park) with our friends the Spencer's!  The kids had a blast!  I think it was safe to say that the kids had a wonderful week!
