Two Months Old!

On December 4th our Cambridge celebrated being 2 Months old by going to the doctor and getting 3 shots!  He was a champ!  Hardly cried at all!!!  He weighed in at 10.87 Pounds, and 22.5 Inches!!

He is just becoming more and more alert, and I have NEVER met a baby that is so attached to his blanky!!  It is unreal.  He LOVES LOVES LOVES to be wrapped up!!  He is also giving us the most adorable little smiles, his 1st one happened around November 20th while I was singing "I am a Child of God!"  It was priceless.   He also has the most adorable sad face I have ever seen.  I hope I can catch it on camera one day.  It is the best pouty face I have ever seen.  Sure love him!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Each year with high anticipation I look forward to the Santa Claus is Coming to Town event at Colonial Square in Bountiful.  It is just so fun.

The line to see Santa this year was extra long... and Hadley just about couldn't take it any longer.

Finally we saw SANTA!

We then walked around to the differen't stores collecting Hot Chocolate, Cidar, Cookies, Chilli, popcorn, and Egg Nog!  Cambridge LOVED being in his Baby Bjorn, staying nice and cozy!

Boston of course loved the chilli.  He LOVE LOVES it!

Hadley being spoiled with a shoulder ride from Grandpa

and Grandma too!

The whole gang!  We also went on a horse drawn wagon ride!  It was so fun to spend the night together enjoying the season!!

  • I am a unique, amazing, superhero kind of person. There will never be another me. I am the one who will decide how I will feel about myself. I am my goodness, my character, my talents and my kindness. This is who I am.
  • What other people think of me doesn’t matter. If they say mean things about me, it doesn’t change my value. I am still the same me. I can ignore mean comments because I am a good and important person, and nothing will ever change that. I know who I am.
  • My value comes from the fact that I am unique. I don’t waste time comparing myself to other people. I am the perfect me and they are the perfect them. Our differences make us both amazing.
  • My life is a classroom and I am here to learn and grow. Every experience I have teaches me something. I am right on track in my process of learning. I am doing great.
  • If I make a mistake, I apologize and work to do better in the future. I am still a good person. It was just a lesson.
  • No one is better or worse than anyone else. We all have the same value. I choose to see every person as the same as me.
  • I never gossip, criticize or judge other people. We are all doing the best we can with what we know. We are all learning and growing. I can forgive others.
  • I am here to help other people. I am always looking for people who need help or friendship. I am a friend to all. I have the power to treat people with love and kindness, even when they don’t deserve it. I do this because I am a kind person.
  • I choose my attitude in each situation. I can choose to feel bad about myself and scared. Or I can choose to feel like a superhero — strong, safe and loving. I choose a positive attitude every time.
  • I choose to feel strong, safe and loving. I believe in myself. I have everything I need to succeed in life. I am the amazing me.

A Night in Bethlehem

One Saturday night we planned to go to a live Nativity we had heard about... Jeremy said he wouldn't be able to go, because he had a paper for school he had to finish.  Me, being the very stubborn person I am... decided I would take 3 little kids all by myself.    We get there to find everyone else in the county had the same idea.  I wasn't sure about standing in line, out in the cold especially with little Cambridge, but the line seem to be moving and the kids were being good.  (oh and I am stubborn!)  1 Hour later we finally loaded up into a horse trailer that took us to "Bethlehem."

We were told to follow the star!

Along the journey there was donkey's, sheep, HUGE camels, Roman Gards on horseback, then a whole town where you saw carpenters, people making blankets with sheep's whole, making bread from wheat, ect...

It was very loud and crazy in the "city" part.  Which served a very powerful purpose.  After our journey we went into a barn...

and this is what we saw.  Mary, Jospeh, and the baby Jesus.  It was silent.  Not a noise to be heard.  Even Hadley didn't say a word.  I was overcome by the spirit testifying to me, that Jesus truly was born in very humble circumstances, but with glory as he is the son of God.  It made the whole trip worth it.  My kids felt it too.  They were totally silent until we left the barn.  Powerful moment I will never forget.

AWESOME night, and don't worry Cambridge stayed very warm inside my coat!

Story Time with Mrs. Clause

Each year our awesome library brings in Mrs. Clause for a special story time!

She reads fun Christmas books, and they project the pictures of the book onto a big screen!

After the reading you get to meet Mrs. Clause and get a special treat!  The kids love it!

Christmas Time is HERE!!!

For the 3rd year in a row, we spent our Family Home Evening with our city turning on main streets Christmas lights and welcoming Santa into town!

The city council hands out Candy Canes

and Santa comes to town by riding a Fire Truck!  Santa was adorable with them!

Boston was so excited after he talked to Santa that he was pumping his fists.  It was halliarious!

Cambridge was being kept warm in his carseat!

Family picture by the "City Tree"

Then we walked over to enjoy the library's lights!

It was a fun way to welcome the Christmas season!

We came home and decorated our new tree!!

The kids loved getting their special ornaments out!

Cambridge LOVES the lights!!!  I might just have to keep the tree up for a long time!  It brings a few minutes of peace and quiet from him!!  We are so excited for Christmas!

Turkey Day!

Our Thanksgiving morning started out with

2 kids in a box watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade!  They have been loving this box for days.

Then at 1:00 we headed for our 1st Thanksgiving Feast!  9 out of 10 of Jeremy's siblings were there.  It was great to be with everyone.

Our little nephew Caydon was soooo adorable with Cambridge!  He said "Mom, we need to buy one of these!"  He also said " I love Cambridge, he's my favorite."

Aunt Jenn was the master at getting Cambridge to smile!   First time I caught it on Camera!

Jeremy helping his Dad with chairs!

The kids had a royal blast going for "Train Rides"

Not sure how safe that is...

Then at 5:00 we headed for Thanksgiving Feast #2 with my side of the family.

Yummy Yummy in our tummys!

It was great to see so many of my cousin's again.
The highlight was being able to have Martha there!  She has had an extremely rough 6 months to say the least... You can read more about that here.

Of course we enjoyed some traditional Garner "speed" We loved both of our Thanksgivings and are so very thankful for the wonderful families we have!!

After the dinners my parents watched the kids and we headed out Black Friday shopping!  Oh man, we had a great time and got some great deals!!

We stayed a couple nights at my parents house and were able to enjoy a Jazz Game, and I was also able to go shopping with my Mom!  It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

Thankgiving Feast

I was lucky enough to be able to go and help out at Boston's Thanksgiving Feast/Party!  The kids all looked so adorable dressed up in their "costumes!" I'm glad that Boston loves having me there!

Week 6 to Week 7

I feel like Cambridge really changed a lot between 6 weeks old, and 7 weeks.  He became increasingly more alert, started spitting up YUCK, starting "talking" but it's still really rare... (can you see how much Hadley adores him!)

He even gave me his 1st smile on November 19th while I was singing "I am a child of god" to him.  Priceless moment.

He still loves being wrapped like a burrito.

Hadley usually calls him her Cambridge Buddy.  He is growing FAST!
