Happy 4th Birthday Jordan!

My nephew Jordan is turning 4 today! He had a super fun GOLF birthday party this past weekend. As you can see he had an awesome birthday cake, and received lots of presents!

At the party, the kids got to decorate their own golf balls, and then play 4 holes of golf!!
All the kids had a blast! These three boys were the last to quite! They loved it, but as soon as they heard the word CAKE they were done playing!

Here are some other fun pictures taken at the party! -Hadley with her cousin Ty- My cousin Tennille feeding Hadley-Jeremy and Audriana

Yet another week has FLOWN by

Wow. Life is busy. It's a wonder to me how people get anything done when they have 2+ kids. If you know the secret, please let me know! Here are a few of the things we did this past week!

Last Friday Jeremy took his scouts up the canyon for another campout. They had a lot of fun despite the lightening, thunder, and downpour of rain! I am just grateful they all made it back safe!

On Saturday Jeremy had the opportunity to baptized his adorable niece Baylee. We are so proud of her. She has been taking the missionary discussions and her and her step-brother chose to be baptized!!
-
While we were at the baptism our bathroom flooded from the severe rainstorm. Luckily nothing was damaged since we have in all tore up to be remodeled.

I finally captured Hadley pulling her funny face. She loves to make her mouth into a perfectly shaped O. I love it!

Boston has enjoyed playing outside, especially riding his new bike!!

This is a picture that Boston took of Hadley! I can't believe she is now 5 weeks old! That's 5 weeks with very little sleep. No wonder I can't think straight. (Don't get me wrong, I am so very grateful to be a mom and be blessed to endure the no sleep stage!)

Our neighborhood had a huge party last night. There was 60 pounds of Sloppy Joe's, and tons of hot dogs to spare! They had games for the kids, and a D.J. doing a great job of getting everyone dancing... even Boston joined in the fun.

Boston's Special Day

Boston had a fantastic birthday that started out with the traditional birthday Pancakes!

Then we went to the Park with his best friend Porter, and had a Picnic there too!

When Jeremy got home we went and played a few games at Chucky Cheese's because it was to rainy to play outside. (I found it quite funny that nothing has changed in Chucky Cheese's since I was 7!)
After a few games Boston enjoyed some fries and a huge ice cream cone!

We finished off the day by opening presents. I love how excited he gets about everything!
I think Boston sang Happy Birthday to himself at least 10 times. It was so funny.

Happy Birthday Boston!!

Boston is turning two today!! Here are a few things I want to remember about my little guy at this fun age.

Favorite Foods: Fries, Peanut Butter and Honey Sandwiches, Pineapple, and anything dipped in Ketchup.

Favorite Things To Do: Boston loves just about everything, especially if it is outside!! He loves playing with cars, trains, planes, and Puzzles! He enjoys all sports, but seems to have a special passion for Basketball. He loves going to the library and reading lots and lots of books. He also enjoys drawing, and playing on the computer.

Things he has learned: Boston amazes me with his ability to quickley learn new things. He can recognize all of his letters, he knows all of his shapes and colors, and can count to 13. He also has a huge vocabulary for his age. Boston also loves to sing. He knows the ABC song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I Love To See The Temple, I am A Child of God, Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and more!

Favorite Shows: He loves watching Super Why, Little Einsteins, and his favorite movies CARS!

Boston gives the best hugs and kisses in the world! He constantly makes us laugh with the funny things he does. I feel so lucky I get to spend everyday with my little buddy! I couldn't ask for a better friend.

Another Week Has Flown By

Here are a few of the happenings from the week;

It was Hadley's first week of church. She looked super cute all dressed up and slept through all 3 meetings! (Sorry, not a great picture)
-
I also got a new calling... Primary Chorister. I am so scared. I have never been so scared of a calling. So please, if you have any suggestions please send them my way.

This is a video of Boston after a long day at church!

We finally went grocery shopping so our fridge no longer looks like this, and hopefully it never will again.

Boston amazes us everyday. Lately I have been amazed by his ability to understand and remember conversations. Also to point out shapes. He will say things like "Door, Rectangle." "Window- Square" He is slowly but surely getting used to his little sister. Now if we could just get him to stop poking her in the eyes...

Last but definitely not least, we had some very special visitors! The Schloemer Family!! It was so fun to have them come and visit all the way from Alabama! We miss you guys already! Especially Boston!

2 Weeks

Has is really already been two weeks since this little girl arrived? I can't believe it! We love her to pieces!!

Yummy In My Tummy!!

We had a great Memorial Day spending time with my family. It was nice to go visit my sister's grave together, and enjoy a yummy picnic. Boston especially enjoyed the Watermelon.
My nephews Logan and Mason meeting Hadley for the first time. I think they like her!

The Power of A Kiss

When Boston gets "hurt" I usually just kiss it better. The other day he hurt his leg and I of course kissed it better. Still in pain, Boston responded with "Try Again!" Apparently my kiss wasn't able to make it better this time.

Daddy's Boy!

Boston absolutely adores his daddy. From the instant he walks in the door from work, he follows him around the rest of the night. Boston especially loved that Jeremy took a week off of work when Hadley was born. They mowed the lawn, did projects around the house, and as pictured made a grocery list and went shopping. Boston always had to be right by Jeremy's side copying his every move. What a fun week with Daddy!

Life at Home...

Hadley came home from the hospital with a cute pink outfit and even a hairbow to match! Usually the going home outfits drowned the newborns... not with our big girl!

When we got home, my Mom had made this fun sign for our yard!

I feel like Boston has done remarkably well to adjusting to having a little sister. So far, he has been a great big brother! I even caught him snuggling with her the other night.
I have loved dressing Hadley up each day. It is just like playing dolls!

Tonight we decided to give our new stroller a test drive! All 4 of us seemed to like it!
Hadley has been a great baby so far. What a wonderful adventure having two kids has been! We look forward to the days ahead with our little boy, and little girl!

Hospital Stay

Our stay at the hospital went by quick. We enjoyed having lots of visitors, and getting to spend time with our little girl. Here are a couple more of my favorite pictures from the hospital. Jeremy is such an amazing Daddy!

When Boston came to the hospital to meet Hadley, he was SO CUTE with her. He just wanted to touch her, hold her hands, and kept telling her to "Awake!"

Hadley Leann Rogers

Just wanted to share our good news. Camille and I are happy to announce the safe arrival of our new baby…
Hadley Leann Rogers
8 lbs 10 oz
20 in long
Born @ 4:50 pm
So where did the name Hadley come from? Hadley is a town in Massachusetts with the population of about 5,000 people. It has lots of colonial architecture and history. The town itself is over 300 years old. Because Boston is in Massachusetts we thought it would be fun to find another name from that state as we one day plan to introduce our kids to their city or town in the form of a family vacation.
Boston loved holding his new baby sister for the first time. He kept telling her "awake" which means "wake up so we can play." He was really cute with her.

We are very grateful to have two healthy children. We know that there are many children that don't make it through the fetal period or birthing process and some that even live just a few short hours. We know that there are some people that are not able to have children and some people that have lost children. We do not know the "why's" behind these circumstances but we do know that God grants life, allows trials and tests of faith and thankfully blesses us with joy in other ways. We want you to know that we are grateful for the gifts of joy that we have been given and understand that life is delicate and is often taken for granted. We hope to be able to love our children as much as you do, would have, will, or did love yours.

Another Temple and Tulip Trip

Our Ward had a family temple day on Saturday. I thought it was a really neat activity. We met at the church for a little devotional and then were given a packet with ideas to do as a family at the temple. The packet included stories, songs, quotes, and facts about the temple. So we all headed up to the temple where they had a photographer take every families picture, and then each family was encouraged to go off on their own and enjoy the spirit of the temple grounds and do a few activities from the packet. We enjoyed singing "I love to see the temple" with Boston and watching his excitement as he got to touch the temple. President Monson once said "As we touch the temple, the temple will touch us." It was a great morning at the temple, together as a family.
