Magical Christmas Day!

My Mom and I met downtown for a fantastic day of Christmas fun!  We started at the Grand America Hotel with their fun Christmas windows...

and giant gingerbread house!

So awesome!

Then it was off to City Creek for Lunch, playtime on the dinos, a little shopping, and seeing the candy windows at Macey's.

Then we headed over to temple square in a hail storm.

We LOVED the new pictures they had up!  Perfect way to wrap up our day!  It was a great Christmas day spent with my Mom!

Rogers Family Christmas Party

Jeremy's sister Jenn is so nice to open up their beautiful home for The Rogers Family Christmas Party!  We started off with food or course...
Then on to Gingerbread Houses

and then a Pinata with a secret message!  The gender of Jenn and Josh's baby!  It's a boy!!

The white elephant game... Catherine got our real cow pie glazed over with a clock in it.. she didn't seem so amused...

Helping in Boston's Class

I had so much fun helping with Boston's Christmas party!  I was in charge of Christmas Pictonary!  It's so fun to see how he interacts with the other kids.

This was my amazing helper.  He spends LOTS of time at the school.  I am pretty sure he thinks he owns the place.

December 18th...

Hadley had her Christmas Kindergarten Concert!  I had a horrible Mommy fail moment.  I missed the first two songs they sang (do you ever think you have more time then you actually do to get somewhere??)  Hadley was chosen as Rudolph.  The staring role in the 1st song... and I missed it.  I cried.  I felt SO BAD.  I sure wish I was perfect.

Hadley was so adorable and so very animated!

After school we went and saw a piece of machinery in our lot!  YAY!!  The next day (Decemeber 19th) They began to dig!  So exciting to see some progress!!

That night we took the kids to see Big Hero 6!  We all loved it!  Super fun night spent as a family!  YAY for Jeremy having a break from school!!

Christmas Treats!

On Decemeber 17th my Mom came out and we made our Christmas Treats!

One of my favorite days of the year!  YUM!

Super Special Night with the MoTab

A Christmas miracle happened and we received tickets to take Boston and Hadley to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert with Santino Fontana and the Sesame Street Muppets! Watching Boston and Hadley's expressions was better then watching the show! They loved everything about it and so did I.  So special to share the night with them!
Pictures taken from the MoTab's facebook page...

Garner/Michaelis/Thompson Christmas Party

We had such a fun family party on Saturday!!  We ate delicious soup and rolls and then played minute to win it games! So much fun!!

I rocked this game!  Finally something I could beat Jeremy in!

After the games we had Brownie Sundaes!  So yummy!!

So good to see everyone and have some fun together!  I'll be posting a group picture as soon as I get it!

Creative Kiddos!

One night the kiddo's and I decorated 4 of our doors to look like snowmen!  The kids did all the cutting and I did the taping...

Meanwhile Cambridge built this snowman...  He was so proud!

Hadley has been VERY busy drawing lots and lots of Santa, reindeer, nativity, Christmas pictures!  I absolutely love them!

Today Hadley really surprised me with this work of art.

We just borrowed this from my parents on yesterday, and today she drew this.  The temple in the city with the skyline.  I was super impressed.  She takes after her Grandpa with the Etch a Sketch skills!

One Saturday while Jeremy was off at school, the kiddos put their imaginations and engineering skills to work.  They built this all on their own.  Their own versions of the zipline!

6th Annual Hot Chocolate Party

Friday night was our 6th Annual Hot Chocolate Party!  It was really snug in our little townhome, but it worked out just fine!

I loved these cups of cheer!

We started the night off with a photo booth!  Here is Cambridge Elf

Hadley Rudolph

Frosty Boston

Emily and Taylor

Dustin and Talmage

Hudson, Josh, and Jenn

Jeremy and me!

Jeremy cooked up some yummy scones for Navijo Tacos

or sweet scones!  Boston was in heaven!

After a fun Christmas game it was time for the Hot Chocoalte!

The night finished off with Boston and Hadley singing Up on the House Top.  Totally their idea... It was rather hilarious!  So grateful for this fun tradition and for wonderful friends!

Boston's 1/2 Birthday!

Boston celebrated his 1/2 birthday at school on December 9th!  He wanted chocolate donuts for his treat to share with the class!  What a fun day it was for him!

Share the Gift

Even though Jeremy was gone working on his school work we still had our Family Home Evening!  One of our favorite nights of the week!  We talked about how we are going to "Share the Gift" this Christmas season.  I encourage everyone to visit this webpage!  http://www.mormon.org/christmas

Live Nativity

Heather, Spencer, Lissy, Michaela, Logan, and Mason joined our family to go to the Live Nativity in Alpine.  It is such an awesome experience.  It is so neat to feel like you are there in Bethlehem with Guards harassing you, seeing the towns people, the wise men, and finally baby Jesus.  There is such a special feeling and a reverence when you see baby Jesus.  Even Cambridge was perfectly still and quiet which is nothing short of a miracle.  As we were leaving he said Bye Bye Baby.  Such a special night!
