On April 15th, 2015 we received the keys to our new home!!! Boston and Hadley were at school, but Cambridge was with Jeremy and I! When we went inside the house as offical homeowners Cambridge ran around with the bag of house keys saying "My House!" "My House!" Then he laid on the carpet and said "My House, My Carpet!" He was so excited, and so were we.
On April 18th the most amazing family and friends showed up to help us make the big move into our dream home. The moving truck broke down... but was fixed and otherwise was a really smooth move. We had a sub sandwich lunch for everyone! Sadly many people left before the picture...
-My parents stayed and helped us get settled in, and then we spent our 1st night in our new home.
On April 19th, our 1st morning in our new home, I woke up to the sun peaking in my window. I felt peace. I felt the most wonderful feeling that this was the place we were supposed to live, and how blessed I feel to live in such a beautiful place. Hadley and I went and enjoyed the sunrise on our porch bench. I could feel nothing but blessed.
Building a house was so much fun. I really enjoyed just about every moment of it. Here is a quick video that summarizes the building of our home!
Our moving story: For months Jeremy and I both felt like it was time for us to move out of our 1st home. We didn't know why, we didn't know where, but finally in the beginning of July 2014 we put our house up for sale. A couple weeks later we had an offer, and we needed to be out by August 5th, my birthday. What an insane couple of weeks that was. I was Girls Camp director for camp that ended on July 24th, so needless to say it was nuts. While I was at Girls Camp, Jeremy put money down to secure a spot to build in Pleasant Grove. Still unsure if this was really where we were supposed to be, we kept looking from Draper, to Salem, from Eagle Mountain to Cedar Hills. We just kept coming back to this spot in Pleasant Grove. So, we tried to find a place to rent while we built... but had a really hard time! The Friday before the Wednesday we moved we finally found a place to rent! Tender mercy for sure. While moving out, our Home Teacher grabbed Jeremy and said "I keep getting this feeling that you are moving for Boston. There is something in that new neighbor that Boston needs." When we moved into our new home we found out that in our circle alone there are 3 boys his age, and huge group of them in the neighborhood. We feel this is the place we need to be, and are excited to see what the future has in store for us and we live here!!
