Car Accident :(

(Picture of our van in the junk yard)
On November 20th I went shopping after Jeremy got home.  I had lots of stores to go to, and finally finished shopping at 10:30pm.  I was at the last intersection before my home and I turned left.  All of the sudden BAM!  A Chevy Truck crashed into my Van.  I still don't understand how exactly it happened, but my best guess it that the truck didn't have its lights on and I just didn't see it coming.

Bless Jeremy's heart, he has his phone turn to do not distrub mode at 10:00pm.  So he didn't get my phone calls... luckily my best friend Annamarie and her husband Eric came to rescue me and all of my groceries and take me home.  Luckily Jeremy finally called me back, and was able to send me some insurance information I needed via text.

Although it was a terrible horrible thing to go through, I did find some tender mercies ad-mist the awfulness.
1- Neither driver was injured in the crash.  I walked away with only a few bruises, and a slight burn on my face from the airbag.  I am so grateful I was the only one in the van at the time of the crash.
2- I took the van instead of the car that night.  I never take the van out shopping when I am by myself.  But for some reason I did.  Jeremy even thought to go tell me to switch, but he didn't.  Van vs. Truck, is a lot better the Car vs. Truck.  I'm positive this alone save me a lot of injury.
3- I wore a coat.  I hardly ever wear a coat.  I hate wearing coats.  This saved me from seat belt bruising, and kept me warm for the LONG wait for the police, tow truck business to be done.
4- Not ALL my eggs broke in the crash.
5- Annamarie and Eric answered my phone call dispite the late hour and came to my rescue.  A huge blessing.
6- Lots of good Samaritans came to make sure we were ok.

That night I was a mess.  I asked Jeremy for a blessing.  In the blessing he became extremely emotional (not like Jeremy) and said that angels were there protecting me during the accident.  I have no doubt this is true.  To be hit by a truck going 40 MPH and walk away with no injuries is nothing short of a miracle.  I am so grateful for this miracle in my life.  I have learned a lot through this experience.  I must be meant to be alive.  I must have a work to do.
