F.H.E. Idea
Boston determined that he was in charge of Family Home Evening on Monday night. So I tried to help him learn an Easter lesson, an Ammon Lesson, but he wouldn't have it. He wanted to do the Boat lesson. I did this months ago and he still remembered every detail. It doesn't take to much prep, but my kids loved it both times around!! - Lesson: Share one, two, or three of the MANY stories about boats in the scriptures. (Nephi building a boat, Noah buiding an ark, Jesus calming the sea...) - Activity: Float Paper Boats (google "How to make a paper boat") in the sink or bathtub. This was especially fun because Boston told the story of Jesus Calming the sea. So we acted it out with paper boats in the sink, and when the big storm came we used the sprayer to cause the storm! The kids couldn't get enough of this!! - Treat: Apple slices with cheese sail's hooked together with a toothpick! Also a Banana boat with peanut butter and chocolate chip's for people riding in the boat. - Hope this idea will help you have a fabulous FHE! I would love to hear your ideas that your kids have loved!!!
