2 Weeks

Has is really already been two weeks since this little girl arrived? I can't believe it! We love her to pieces!!

Yummy In My Tummy!!

We had a great Memorial Day spending time with my family. It was nice to go visit my sister's grave together, and enjoy a yummy picnic. Boston especially enjoyed the Watermelon.
My nephews Logan and Mason meeting Hadley for the first time. I think they like her!

The Power of A Kiss

When Boston gets "hurt" I usually just kiss it better. The other day he hurt his leg and I of course kissed it better. Still in pain, Boston responded with "Try Again!" Apparently my kiss wasn't able to make it better this time.

Daddy's Boy!

Boston absolutely adores his daddy. From the instant he walks in the door from work, he follows him around the rest of the night. Boston especially loved that Jeremy took a week off of work when Hadley was born. They mowed the lawn, did projects around the house, and as pictured made a grocery list and went shopping. Boston always had to be right by Jeremy's side copying his every move. What a fun week with Daddy!

Life at Home...

Hadley came home from the hospital with a cute pink outfit and even a hairbow to match! Usually the going home outfits drowned the newborns... not with our big girl!

When we got home, my Mom had made this fun sign for our yard!

I feel like Boston has done remarkably well to adjusting to having a little sister. So far, he has been a great big brother! I even caught him snuggling with her the other night.
I have loved dressing Hadley up each day. It is just like playing dolls!

Tonight we decided to give our new stroller a test drive! All 4 of us seemed to like it!
Hadley has been a great baby so far. What a wonderful adventure having two kids has been! We look forward to the days ahead with our little boy, and little girl!

Hospital Stay

Our stay at the hospital went by quick. We enjoyed having lots of visitors, and getting to spend time with our little girl. Here are a couple more of my favorite pictures from the hospital. Jeremy is such an amazing Daddy!

When Boston came to the hospital to meet Hadley, he was SO CUTE with her. He just wanted to touch her, hold her hands, and kept telling her to "Awake!"

Hadley Leann Rogers

Just wanted to share our good news. Camille and I are happy to announce the safe arrival of our new baby…
Hadley Leann Rogers
8 lbs 10 oz
20 in long
Born @ 4:50 pm
So where did the name Hadley come from? Hadley is a town in Massachusetts with the population of about 5,000 people. It has lots of colonial architecture and history. The town itself is over 300 years old. Because Boston is in Massachusetts we thought it would be fun to find another name from that state as we one day plan to introduce our kids to their city or town in the form of a family vacation.
Boston loved holding his new baby sister for the first time. He kept telling her "awake" which means "wake up so we can play." He was really cute with her.

We are very grateful to have two healthy children. We know that there are many children that don't make it through the fetal period or birthing process and some that even live just a few short hours. We know that there are some people that are not able to have children and some people that have lost children. We do not know the "why's" behind these circumstances but we do know that God grants life, allows trials and tests of faith and thankfully blesses us with joy in other ways. We want you to know that we are grateful for the gifts of joy that we have been given and understand that life is delicate and is often taken for granted. We hope to be able to love our children as much as you do, would have, will, or did love yours.

Another Temple and Tulip Trip

Our Ward had a family temple day on Saturday. I thought it was a really neat activity. We met at the church for a little devotional and then were given a packet with ideas to do as a family at the temple. The packet included stories, songs, quotes, and facts about the temple. So we all headed up to the temple where they had a photographer take every families picture, and then each family was encouraged to go off on their own and enjoy the spirit of the temple grounds and do a few activities from the packet. We enjoyed singing "I love to see the temple" with Boston and watching his excitement as he got to touch the temple. President Monson once said "As we touch the temple, the temple will touch us." It was a great morning at the temple, together as a family.

The Temple, Tulips, and Tractors!

Boston, my Mom and I had the best day yesterday visiting Temple Square.
The temple look extra beautiful against the bright blue sky, and the flowers were absolutely breathtaking.
The tulips were so big, bright, and beautiful! We even got to go out to lunch with my Dad at the Nauvoo Cafe', which was delicious!
I think Boston's favorite part was watching all the tractors, trucks, and cranes work on the downtown rising project! I honestly think he could have stayed there all day.

What a fantastic day!

Who Needs Quarters?

It will be a sad day when Boston realizes that you are supposed to put money in these things... until then, he can enjoy all the "free rides" he wants!

Jeremy's Weekend Project!

Jeremy has absolutly amazed me since moving into our home. He has worked so hard to make it an even better place to live. This weekend he built his first closet organizer. It is amazing how much useless space was in the closet , that is now so useful!
